Our Story
THEWOODSCENT is a small online family business, based in Bristol -United Kingdom, established in 2020 by Dan & Ralu. After 11 years of working with wood projects and also in retail, customer service and pharmacy department as regional manager we decided to focus on reclaimed wood furniture and also being able to spend time together.
Dan is having a minimum of 10 years experience (working alongside his uncle as a weekend hobby and DIY’s teaching the secret and the recipe for a good quality handcrafted product) and Ralu is complimenting all this work assisting with the customer service department final inspection of the product quality, being a qualified designer and creator together with Dan.
We love being together in this project and as a couple we both love the perfect imperfections of wood, high quality and sustainable eco-friendly products.
Every single piece is handcrafted with extra care and passion, smoothly polished and sanded. All our products are waxed and oil coated using high quality brands as every piece is unique, is sharing love, is sharing warmth and is whispering an impressive story that truly touches emotions highlighting the wood life journey.
What we do
Our aim is to create solid wood furniture from reclaimed wood that lasts a lifetime.
Create your perfect indoor or outdoor living with our products, handmade to order to your own size and specification.
Eco-friendly, all our wood is coming from old planks, old timber joists, old pine planks, solid pine, old scaffold boards embracing a second chance to glow in a quality finished product.
All our furniture come with choices:
- Choose from different wax finishes matt or glossy to create a piece that suit your home style
- Choose the length for shelves and candle holders
- Choose the length & width and the thickness of your furniture for tables, desks, benches, outdoor & indoor products.
- Choose from 7 different colours : clear, white wash , grey wash, light oak, medium oak , dark oak and walnut.
- Choose from 5 different metal legs style : hairpin, square, X shape , trapezium and A shape.
- Choose from 2 different wood textures: rough finish or sleek finish (photos below)
